Biography

Heidi Brann has been making reeds for over 25 years.

A graduate of The Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University,

she studied the oboe and reedmaking with Sara Watkins as well

as Jill West, Ray Still, Harry Sargous and John Mack.

She has applied many reedmaking styles to her own study of the reed

by experimenting, logging information in reed notebooks,

and sharing success, tips, and questions with fellow oboists.

Her reeds are of exceptional quality and made for you.

They give an oboist the ability to bring a variety of color into their playing.

We all know the oboe, the most difficult of all instruments,

demands the hightest quality reed.

Heidi's reeds are now a source of great playing to many oboists

and she hopes you experience the same!
